Bashkiria sets up commission to organize funeral of Tu-154 crash victims

Bashkir President Murtaza Rakhimov has set up a special commission to organize the funeral of the victims of the Bashkir Airlines jet crash. He also declared July 2nd-4th days of mourning for the crash victims and instructed the republic's authorities to take the relatives of the victims to the crash site and organize material aid for them.

Last night, the Tu-154 collided with a mail-carrying Boeing-757 at a height of 12 kilometres above the German territory.

According to a source in Bashkir Airlines, on board the Tu-154 were 8 children aged below 12, who had child tickets, and 43 teenagers aged below 16, who had regular plane tickets. The children were accompanied by six grown-ups.
