CIS economic council considered most important aspects of inter-state cooperation

18 issues in total related to the most important aspects of inter-state cooperation within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) were considered on Friday in Moscow at the 12th meeting of the CIS economic council.

According to the information provided by chairman of the executive committee - CIS executive secretary Yuri Yarov, economic council adopted a number of decisions which would allow to intensify economic cooperation within the framework of the Commonwealth. Among the most important issues he singled out cooperation in the area of energy conservation, promotion of goods in CIS and foreign markets, harmonization of national systems of air space organization between CIS member-states, implementation of the concept of inter-state zones of innovation policy.

The meeting decided to organize in May 2003 in Ukraine a CIS exhibition-fair. The next meeting of the CIS Economic council will take place in September in Moscow.
