Russia's President, Great Britain's Prime Minister Highly Estimate Their Countries' Economic Cooperation

Russia's President and Great Britain's Prime Minister highly estimate economic cooperation between the two countries. According to the press service of Russia's President, during the meeting of the two leaders, the G8 summit continuing, Vladimir Putin recalled the conversation he had had with Mr. Blair at the latter's suburban house in December last year. At that time, the President discussed a number of possible joint projects with the heads of Great Britain's leading companies. Now the president noted that all those projects were progressing successfully.

In turn, Mr. Blair highly estimated the progress of Russia's economy. That progress, he said, had been acknowledged by that the US and Europe awarded Russia the status of a market economy. The Prime Minister said Great Britain would by all means assist Russia in joining the World Trade Organisation.
