According to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, one might single out certain provisions in the plan proposed by George Bush which Moscow was prepared to support. First of all it concerned cessation of the Israeli occupation and its settlement activity, the necessity to operate on the basis of UN Security Council's resolutions 242 and 338, efficient struggle against terrorism. Moscow positively appraised ideas regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state, the conducting of reforms of the Palestinian National Authority.
Moscow would continue the analysis of the proposed plan, first of all within the framework of the four international intermediaries on the Middle East settlement.
