Russian-Slovak talks at the level of ministers began in Moscow

At the talks in Moscow, heads of the Russian and Slovak foreign ministries Igor Ivanov and Eduard Kukan will discuss the key aspects of bilateral relations and the main international developments, the Russian Foreign Minister stated as opening the talks with his Slovak counterpart.

Moscow positively assesses the development of bilateral Russian-Slovak relations, the head of the Russian foreign-policy agency noted. The political dialogue both at the top level and between the parliaments and the Foreign Ministries of the two countries has been actively developing of late, he noted.

Ivanov stressed that in Russia they are satisfied with such development of bilateral relations and hold the view that the current talks will make it possible to broaden them and to coordinate the two countries' positions in the international arena.

Eduard Kukan also positively assessed the development of bilateral relations between Russia and Slovakia. At the beginning of the meeting, the Slovak Minister rejected the interpreter's services and began the talks in Russian.
