NATO Delegation Arrives in St. Petersburg Today

A NATO delegation arrives in St. Petersburg today to attend a conference on joint Russia-NATO marine search and rescue operations. The members of the delegation number 27. Russia's participants include professionals from the Ministry of Defence, the leading industrial companies, and research organisations. The conference over, the parties are supposed to sign a joint protocol.

Major-General Peter Williams, the head of the Military Communications Mission in Moscow, is supposed to join the participants of the conference tomorrow. As Rosbalt's reporter was informed at the mission, the general being no expert on marine rescue, his two-day-long visit to St. Petersburg would be rather a 'familiarisation run'.
