Russian defence industry enterprises are taking part in an international show of up-to-date weapons for land troops and air defence systems, which opens in the Paris suburb of Villepente on Monday.
The Eurosatori biennial, which is being organized by the French defence ministry, features the latest developments in the field of land armaments as designed by Russia's leading enterprises -- for instance, the Tula Instrument-making Design Bureau.
According to organizers, the current international situation calls for the best defensive weapons to be used in land and air defence operations today and in the future. It is this type of weapons that dozens of countries will present at the Eurosatori event. Apart from that, the show will feature equipment used in reconnaissance and strategic intelligence operations, in the field of military communications, and in administrative support of land operations, for instance in the struggle against international terrorism.
The show ends on June 21st.
First and foremost, it goes about the replacement of the French-Russian SaM146 engine with the Russian PD-8 aircraft engine
