Russian Foreign Minister informs Danish government on current Chechnya developments

As addressing a news conference in Copenhagen Tuesday, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said he had informed the Danish government on current developments in Chechnya.

"We are open to dialogue on any matter, including the Chechen one," said the minister.

His Danish counterpart Per Stig Moller, on his part, said they had come to an agreement to join hand in settling issues related to Chechnya. He said Mr Ivanov had welcomed an upcoming visit to Chechnya European Union ambassadors to Russia were expected to make in autumn.

Besides, the Council of Europe may get involved in drawing up Chechnya's new constitution, said the Danish foreign minister.
