Leader of Yabloko to Represent Russia at Conference of USA-Italy Council

The leader of the Russian Democratic Party Yabloko, Grigori Yavlinsky, will take part in the annual conference of the USA-Italy Council today and tomorrow. The council was founded in 1991 for developing Euro-American relations. As the Yabloko press-service told a Rosbalt correspondent, Yavlinsky will give the principle lecture in the session, devoted to Russia and new geo-political perspectives for Europe in connection with the results of Russia-NATO, Russia-EU and Russia-USA summits.

During the conference, the expansion of the EU and NATO and the issue of the 'europeanisation' of Russia will be discussed. Politicians and businessmen will take part in the conference, but the press will not be admitted.
