Prime Minister of Bulgaria: time has come to improve relations with Russia

Time has come to improve relations with Russia, Prime Minister of Bulgaria Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha stated in Sofia on Friday on the eve of his visit to Moscow. According to the Bulgarian Premier, the evolution of relations between Moscow and Sofia accords with the general world tendency, especially after the latest meeting of the presidents of Russia and the USA and the Rome treaty between Moscow and NATO. He noted that in the previous years relations between Moscow and Sofia had been more complex. But the Bulgaria of today is a pragmatic country which, as any other country, seeks markets for selling the goods it makes, with due account for the national interests. The language proximity, the common religion, good will, friendly feelings, and history can help develop relations between Bulgaria and Russia, Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha noted. He welcomed the intensive exchange of visits between the countries at different levels which has been under way of late.

Prime Minister Saxe-Coburg-Gotha of Bulgaria will stay in Russia on an official visit from June 3rd to 6th.
