Border guards from Russia, Afghanistan meet to discuss trespassing and smuggling

Border guards commissars from Russia and Afghanistan have met on a border section controlled by the Moscow border detachment to discuss trespassing and smuggling of goods across the border, reported the press service of the Federal Frontier Service group to Tajikistan. The meeting took place on May 30th.

The issues discussed dealt with measures to stop smuggling of weapons, ammunition and drug-containing substances across the border.

Since the beginning of 2002, according to the press service, border guards representatives have met at least 55 times, mainly on the initiative of the Russian side.
