Chili's President Ricardo Lagos will pay an official visit to Russia in 2002, ex-president, senator Ricardo Frei, told RIA Novosti. According to Frei, currently on a private visit to Moscow, Russian and Chilean diplomats are coordinating the dates of the visit. The ex-president believes that the development of overall cooperation with Russia is of particular importance for Chili.
