Uzbekistan not to participate in meeting between Shanghai Cooperation Organisation defence ministers

Uzbekistan will not participate in the meeting between defence ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in Moscow on Wednesday, said sources in the headquarters for coordination of the CIS military cooperation. According to the sources, the refusal of the Uzbek military delegation to take part in the meeting is supposedly connected with the decisions, recently made within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty. The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, founded on the basis of the Shanghai Five last summer, includes Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
