Russian Foreign Minister to visit Iceland May 15-16

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov will pay a routine visit to Iceland on May 15-16, after a session of the Russia-NATO Joint Permanent Council, reads a communique of the Russian foreign ministry's information and press department. Mr Ivanov will meet the host country's top to resume discussion of bilateral and burning international issues which were raised at the Russia-Iceland summit meeting in Moscow in April, reads the communique. On May 14, Mr Ivanov is flying for Reykjavik for the session of the Joint Permanent Council. Prominent on the session agenda will be a package of agreements crucial for the transition to the "20" format of Russia-NATO relations, which is part of arrangements for a Russia-NATO summit, due to take place in Rome on May 28, according to the foreign ministry
