Moscow condemns extremist measures in Middle East

The use of extremist measures to achieve one's Middle East goals has once more put the world on the brink of an international and inter-civilization conflict, Russian Foreign minister Igor Ivanov said while opening the session of the Collective Security Council. Ivanov stressed that Russia together with the US, the UN and the EU is intending to press for the implementation of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions to cease violence and resume negotiations. According to Ivanov, this summer international conference on the Middle East will contribute to resolving the Middle East conflict.
