Russian Minister meets Russian-speaking representatives in San Francisco

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov has thanked the Russian-speaking community of San Francisco for its enlightening and charity contribution for the good of Russia. The Russian foreign minister met the Russian-speaking community members of the State Tuesday in the Russian Centre. "Our compatriots from the Russian Centre and Congress of Russian Americans are working on this fruitful basis," noted Igor Ivanov. Words of gratitude were also addressed to the old Russian-speaking newspaper Russkaya Zhizn /Russian Life/, uniting residents of Russia and the CIS countries, living now in San Francisco. According to Ivanov, their efforts have made it possible to gradually overcome the earlier dissociation and disunity within the Russian diaspora and made new immigrants more active.
