In Luxemburg, Finland's Minister of Justice to Assess Russia's Judicial Reform

The Judicial reform in Russia will be among the key issues at the official meeting of the Ministers of Interior and Justice of the European Union to be held in Luxemburg, on April 25 and 26. The meeting will be attended by Boris Gryzlov, the Minister of interior, and possibly Yuri Chaika, the Minister of Justice of Russia. According to Eva Valisaari, the Senior Inspector of the Department of Information of Finland, the other participants will include Ville Itala, the Minister of Interior and Johannes Koskinen the Minister of Justice of Finland. An advisor of Finland's Ministry of Justice, Tina Kangas said that Mr Koskinen will speak at the meeting on behalf of the European Union, giving an assessment of Russia's judicial reform. Other topics of discussion will include illegal immigration, border control, the return of illegal immigrants to the countries they transited through, a programme of action to counter organised crime, and the agreement as to the unification of laws concerning the sexual exploitation of children and child pornography.
