Russia Regains Prominence: Uzbek President

Russia is regaining positions in the global scene thanks to a vast political, economic and cultural potential, Uzbekistan's President Islam Karimov said before taking his Moscow-bound plane. He views Russia as a genuine Great Power, and greatly values its nation for morals and doing things in a big way. The President expects to sign an approximate ten documents while on visit--in particular, a bilateral statement on closer teamwork to guard the Uzbek frontier, and instruments on emergent joint Russo-Uzbek stances on efforts against terrorism and other extremist manifestations, and against mounting drug traffic.
