Igor Ivanov and Tang Jiaxuan, respective Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Russia and China, signed Sunday in Moscow a protocol on the draft treaty on good-neighbourly relations, friendship and partnership. The treaty itself is expected to be signed in mid July when Chinese leader Jiang Zemin is on a visit to Moscow. The treaty, Ivanov said, is of extreme importance for the two countries' as well as global stability. According to the Russian minister, the document is going to state effective achievements and outline prospects for further economic partnership.
