Moldovan President does not exclude Moldova's membership in EU

Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin does not exclude Moldova's possible entry into the European Union (EU) in the future. He said this on Tuesday at a news conference after his visit to the Russian capital came to a close. At the same time the Moldovan President pointed out that "he would like his country to join the EU together with Russia and Belarus." In an answer to the question of Moldova's possible NATO membership, Vladimir Voronin said that Moldova is a neutral state and that under its Constitution this question cannot be raised.
