Russian troops withdrawal from transdniestria not on the agenda of Russia-Moldova meeting

The Moldovan President and the Russian leadership did not discuss withdrawal of Russian troops from Transdniestria /Moldova's region which self-proclaimed sovereignty/. The Moldovan leader Vladimir Voronin said as much himself at a press conference in Moscow. According to Voronin, on the agenda were only issues dealing with the withdrawal of materiel. The Moldovan president believes that if all the troops are pulled out, ammunition depots will not be fully guarded. Hence, stressed Voronin, at issue now is only the withdrawal of materiel but not of troops.
