Klebanov positively evaluates Iranian, Iraqi and North Korea's involvement in space conference

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Ilya Klebanov announced during a Moscow press-conference on Friday that Russia positively appraised the participation of Iranian, Iraqi and North Korean representatives in an international conference dedicated to the prevention of the militarisation of space. According to him, "the more real partners we will have for cooperation in the space sphere, the quicker we shall resolve problems, not only in space, but also on Earth." Klebanov expressed his regret that the official US and British delegations had withdrawn from the conference at the last minute. At the same time, the vice-premier positively appraised the participation in the forum of the representatives of scientific and public circles of these countries that did come to Moscow. The Russian Deputy Prime Minister stressed that Moscow conference, which is now concluding, was of a "non-politicised, peaceful nature", which could also be said about the type of space that the participants wished to see in the future.
