German foreign minister appeals to stop violence in Macedonia

Germany's Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer, who is on a visit to Kosovo, Yugoslavia, appealed to stop violence in Macedonia. He appealed to local Albanian leaders to "influence" the Albanian separatists in neighbouring Macedonia to prevent further military actions and possible bloodshed. The day before, being on a visit to Tirana, the capital of Albania, Joschka Fischer stated that "Balkan problems can only be settled through Eurasian integration."
