Haute Couture in St. Petersburg

Joining Paris, New York and Moscow, St. Petersburg too finally has a chance to enjoy Valentin Yudashkin's Birds, his new haute couture collection, to be presented in the Smolny Cathedral, St. Petersburg, today. Valentin Yudashkin is an internationally recognised designer whose elegant 'Russian' style made him famous all over Europe and America. More than 15 years have passed since his first collection. Back then he began with a company called Vali-Moda. Today it is Valentin Yudashkin Fashion House. The designer's international fame was born in 1991 when his Faberge collection triumphed at the Paris Haute Couture Week winning audience's love once and forever. Fashion top authorities Pierre Cardin and Paco Rabanne themselves called Yudashkin a master. The Louvre Fashion Museum bought two of his dresses then, and the Fashion Museum of California ordered another few. Since 1991, Yudashikin has not missed a single Paris's week of haute couture.

In 1996 the House of Yudashkin became a member of the French Haute Couture Syndicate, joining Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel and Pierre Cardin as their equal.
