On Sunday, the Russian president's spouse, Lyudmila Putin, visited Suzhoy, an ancient city in China. The city history dates back to 2,500 years. The Russian first lady visited the Scientific and Research Institute of Embroidery, which both preserves ancient traditions and develops new techniques. Mrs. Putin was shown techniques of embroidery on silk. She visited production facilities and the museum, where she looked at the exhibits of craftsmen of Suzhoy.
