A meeting between Vladimir Putin and George W. Bush has just begun in Shanghai. According to a spokesman for the Kremlin administration, the meeting between the two presidents began with a tete-a-tete conversation, which will be followed, in about an hour's time, by a 30-minute joint press conference. After that, Putin and Bush will meet for a working supper, which is scheduled to last until 8:00 p.m., local time. Initially, the meeting was to take place in a Shanghai hotel symbolically called Peace. However, the US side insisted that it be staged in Bush's residence at the Portman Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
