Vladimir Putin Speaks On Russia's Capacities On Energy Sources Market

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Russia could participate in the establishment of the new energy configuration in the Asia-Pacific Region. RIA Novosti correspondent reports that speaking at the APEC forum, the Russian president stressed that according to forecasts, the share of the Asia-Pacific Region in the world energy consumption would grow to 45 percent by 2020. The discrepancy between energy resources available in regions and the regions' needs will grow, which will exacerbate the issue of providing for energy safety and security. Mr. Putin emphasized that Russia is ready to assist in securing stability on the energy sources market in the long run. The current resources of oil and gas in eastern parts of Russia allow Russia not only to satisfy the internal demand, but also carry out major export deliveries, said the head of the Russian state. Energy delivery routes from Russia to Japan, Korea, and China could become the building blocks of the new energy configuration.
