Russian Chief Of General Staff Meets Northern Alliance Commanders

Upon arrival in Dushanbe on Thursday, Army General Anatoly Kvashnin, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Army, met commanders of the Northern Alliance's united front, a diplomatic source in Dushanbe said. According to him, "the sides discussed the military-political developments in Afghanistan and the provision of security in the Central Asian region."
