800 Tons Of Russian Humanitarian Aid Delivered To Mongolia

800 tons of Russian forage and mixed fodder were delivered to Mongolia as humanitarian aid for cattle breeders of Mongolia's northwestern regions, the Mongolian Standing State Emergencies Commission told RIA Novosti on Tuesday. The shipment marked the beginning of the second stage of a humanitarian aid program for Mongolian regions that suffered, for the past two years, from severe fodder shortage resulting from frosty winters and dry summers. In all, the second stage of the humanitarian program envisages the delivery of 1,200 tons of humanitarian aid to Mongolia. During the first stage, which the Russian emergencies ministry conducted in April and May, Mongolian cattle breeders received 1,000 tons of fodder and forage. Just like the previous stage of the humanitarian action, the second one is conducted jointly with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
