Ukraine Eager To Play Host To Israeli-palestinian Meeting
Ukraine has proposed to host talks between delegations of Israel and Palestine that would aim to resume the Middle East peace settlement, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Anatoly Zlenko told reporters Monday following a meeting with Nabeel Shaath, Palestine's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation. The Palestinian diplomatic mission was opened in Kiev which was part of Dr. Shaath's visit agenda. This proposal of Ukraine supplements rather than substitutes the West's peace initiatives, emphasized Zlenko.
