Vladimir Putin's Official Visit To Poland Will Give An Impetus To Russian-Polish Relations

Warsaw is looking forward to the Russian president's official visit to Poland. Polish leader Alexander Kwasniewski said this at the beginning of talks with Russian president Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin. According to Kwasniewski, this visit will become "a real landmark" in bilateral relations and give them the needed impetus. Kwasniewski recalled that there are good examples of cooperation between the two states - both in Moscow, St. Petersburg and in Novosibirsk. At the very beginning of the talks the Polish president rejected the services of an interpreter, noting that the Polish delegation "understands all." Recalling that he had arrived in Moscow yesterday, Kwasniewski expressed satisfaction with the fact that he had already had an opportunity to walk in Moscow "without the protocol." He proposed that Vladimir Putin do the same during his visit to Warsaw. The Polish president expressed admiration with Moscow, which "has markedly changed," becoming "a real world capital." In his opinion, he noted, it differs from other world capitals only "by rather high prices."
