Anthrax Case Registered In New York City

One anthrax case has been registered in New York City. An employee with the NBC TV company responsible for sorting the mail was given such a diagnosis, the fact the company reported on Friday. The woman was hospitalized, with her condition being described as satisfactory. The personnel of the NBC headquarters and other companies who have offices in the Rockfeller Center are undergoing medical checks, New York Mayor Rudolf Giuliani told a news conference. The FBI is looking into the anthrax case suspecting a terrorist act. Three earlier anthrax cases were registered among the employees of the Sun newspaper in Florida. One of the infected died, the other two are undergoing treatment.
