Afghan President Burhanuddin Rabbani Rules Out Possibility Of Negotiating With Taliban

Internationally recognised Afghan President Burhanuddin Rabbani rules out the possibility of negotiating with the Taliban. Rabbani, currently on a visit in Dushanbe, said the United Front forces of the Northern Alliance would not negotiate with the Taliban, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports. The world community should understand there is no civil war in Afghanistan, Rabbani noted. The Taliban regime is promoting aggression in the Islamic State of Afghanistan. In the last seven years, the Taliban were offered to sit down at the negotiating stable and peacefully seek solution to the Afghan conflict in the name of peace and tranquility in the country, the president recalled.
