Boris Trajkovski Asserts That Macedonia Was Attacked From Outside

Macedonia was attacked from the outside at the moment when it achieved an economic and political stabilisation. The Albanian terrorists, apropos of nothing and under the pretext of fighting for human rights, carried out aggression against Macedonia, despite the fact that the country was an example of good inter-ethnic relations. This was stated by Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski at the meeting on the occasion of one more anniversary of the people's uprising in the country against the fascists in the period of the Second World War. The President underscored that at the present time the country had managed to avoid an inter-ethnic war and to preserve a single state. For the aim of preserving peace, considerable concessions were made, among which Boris Trajkovski named the amnesty to Albanian terrorists. However, he said, if even after this, terror continues, the state will fight it by all possible means, including the use of force as it is being done all over the world. The Macedonian President believes that terrorism remains the greatest danger in the Balkans.
