Konstantin Totsky, Director of the Russian Federal Frontier Service (FPS), reported Wednesday to President Vladimir Putin on the situation on the Tajik-Afghan border. As RIA Novosti knows from Alexei Gromov, Presidential press-secretary, Totsky noted that, no great flows of refugees are expected in the near and medium-range future in that section, as well as crossing over Afghanistan's border with Turkmenia and Uzbekistan. The FPS director also reported on the situation on the Abkhaz section of the national border, stressing that in keeping with the plan, Defence and Interior Ministry units are being moved to reinforce that section of the border in cooperation with the FPS and the Interior Ministry bodies.
