Russia, India At One On Anti-terror Efforts: Putin, Vajpayee

Russia's President Vladimir Putin and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Prime Minister of India, had a telephone conference today, report Kremlin PR. The conferees discussed the situation emerging in that part of the world after anti-terror action was launched in Afghanistan. As they gladly pointed out, Russian and Indian viewpoints coincide once again on international efforts against the terror danger. Messrs. Putin and Vajpayee stressed dire necessity for globally coordinated efforts against terrorism, and called against double standards, which may torpedo anti-terror coalition unity. They also discussed preparations for Atal Bihari Vajpayee's visit to Russia, due next month.
