His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Her Majesty Silvia visited the Moscow mayoral office on a state visit to Russia. Mayor Yuri Luzhkov gave a retrospect of city history and an outline of contemporary Russian megalopolitan life before he accompanied the Royal couple on a sightseeing tour of Moscow. King Carl Gustaf signed the mayoral Visitors' Book.
