Japan And Tajikistan Take Common Stance On Terrorism

Following a meeting with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmonov on Monday, Muneo Suzuki, special envoy of the Japanese prime minister in the Central Asian region, told journalists that Japan and Tajikistan had a common position with regard to combating terrorism. According to him, Tokyo supported the US operation in Afghanistan. In his turn, Mr. Rakhmonov stressed that Tajikistan was "on the cutting edge of the fight against terrorism." In addition, Tajikistan is ready to offer the necessary humanitarian aid to Afghan refugees.
