Afghanistan: Northern Alliance Ready To Advance

The Northern Alliance has alerted its troops stationed in the Khaji Bahauddin outskirts to advance on the Taliban positions. Alliance soldiers did not start moving immediately after airraids in Kabul and elsewhere. The Alliance command has not for now responded to anti-terror action opening. Anti-Taliban refugees from Kabul and Qandahar are not overly enthusiastic with the raids, and stress that the USA has vouched to attack terrorist bases, rather than civilian-populated towns.
