Strikes on targets in Afghanistan were carried out using missiles launched from the U.S. and British ships stationed in the Arabian Sea, the sources in Pentagon reported. According to the U.S. Defense Department spokesman, the primary task was to destroy anti-missile defence objects, to carry out strikes on terrorist camps and military infrastructure objects. The Pentagon spokesman reported that the operation is currently underway.
