Georgia To Provide USA With Airfields For US Counter-terrorist Operation

Georgia will provide USA with its airfields and all needed infrastructure, as well as with the right to use its air space. Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze made this statement on Friday after visiting the Pentagon. There he met with American Deputy Secretary of Defence Paul Wolfowitz. According to Shevardnadze, Georgia and the United States are ready to employ "all means at their disposal" to fight jointly international terrorism. When in Washington, Shevardnadze also visited the White House.
