Borodin To Go To Geneva For Interrogation On October 7

State Secretary of the Russia-Belarus Union Pavel Borodin will fly to Switzerland on October 7 to participate in another interrogation in the prosecutor's office of Geneva. According to Eleonora Sergeyeva, Borodin's lawyer, the interrogations are to take place on Monday morning and on Tuesday. The lawyer said that Borodin still refused to answer the questions asked by investigator Daniel Devaud. Two other people are to be interrogated apart from Borodin: Beghet Pacolli and two clerks of the Swiss bank where, according to the investigators, Borodin opened accounts. Sergeyeva said that other defendants were also summoned to the prosecutor's office. Borodin is charged with money laundering. According to Swiss investigators, he illegally obtained a large sum of money as a reward for providing contracts for the Mabetex and Mercata Trading firms.
