USA Wants To Conclude Agreement With Russia On Simplifying Visa Issue

The USA would like to conclude an agreement with Russia to simplify the visa issuing procedure and also to reduce the visa cost, said James Warlick, US Consul in the Russian Federation, at a meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Moscow on Friday. The consul said that Washington would also like to reach agreement with Moscow on introducing multiple many-year visas on a reciprocal basis. Warlick said that the "consular relations between the USA and Russia are among the most complicated ones for the USA, stressing that they had practically remained unchanged since the cold war days. We would like to change that situation said James Warlick. He said that, in particular, the matter concerns visa cost reduction.
