Turkish Citizens Attacked In Georgia

On October 21, six obscure masked persons armed with machine-guns burst into the Camping International Hotel outside the town of Khashuri and assaulted 15 long-distance Turkish truck-drivers who were resting there. The attackers continued beating even after they had confiscated money while their accomplices kept vigil in the street. One of the Turks has been delivered to hospital. The Turkish embassy has appealed to Georgian police to detain the culprits without delay.
