Chairman Of Russian Security Council Believes It Necessary To Further Develop European Anti-Terror Strategy

Russian Security Council secretary Vladimir Rushailo believes it necessary to further develop the European strategy of combating terrorism. He said this in the Kremlin on Tuesday when opening the meeting with foreign minister of France Hubert Vedrine. Vladimir Rushailo pointed out that after the terrorist explosions in Moscow and a number of other cities French experts visited Russia to render assistance and give consultations. Rushailo told the French foreign minister that when the US anti-terror operation began in Afghanistan secretaries of the Security Councils of the Treaty on Collective Security member countries held a conference in Dushanbe to discuss the obtained situation and the specific forms of support by the Treaty's members of the US military operations in Afghanistan. On his part, Hubert Vedrine expressed satisfaction with the Russian-French negotiations which are being held and the Russian stance as far as combating international terrorism is concerned.
