Another Support Vessel Joined Extinguishing Of Fire On Bulgarian Tanker

The Sirius support vessel has approached the Bulgarian Khan Asparukh tanker in distress. According to the press service of the North Caucasian Regional Department of the Russian Federal Frontier Service, the vessel has delivered the freon needed for the cooling of tanker's deck erections on fire. The press service also noted that the Sportis high-speed boat of the Russian Emergencies Ministry had delivered to the shore another wounded crewman of the tanker. The total of burnt or wounded crewmen delivered to Novorossisk is currently 6 people. Reportedly, the Bulgarian Khan Asparukh tanker loaded with raw oil, left Novorossisk in the early hours of Saturday. It headed to the open sea on the course to a Greek port. The fire began in the machine room at about 6:00 a. m. Later on, the fire was localized. There are six Russian vessels helping to extinguish the fire, and the Ukrainian Mikhail Dobrov steamer, which had accidentally entered the rescue zone.
