Russian Joint Venture Extracts 2,200 Kg Of Gold In Mongolia

The company Gold East Mongolia, part of the international company Itera, has extracted 2,200 kilograms of gold in Mongolia from the start of 2001. This is 100 kilograms more than the company planned to mine in the entire year, said the press service of the ITERA Holding company. The extraction is underway at three gold deposits. Gold East Mongolia started to develop gold deposits in Mongolia last year. In 2003, the company plans to extract 2,300 kilograms of gold. It also intends to start the operation of a pilot gold leaching facility underground. Such a project will be undertaken for the first time in the history of gold mining in Mongolia.
