Russian Border Guards In Tajikistan Suppress Attempted Smuggling Of Heroin From Afghanistan

Russian border guards in Tajikistan have suppressed an attempted smuggling of heroin from Afghanistan. According to the press service of the Border Unit of the Russian Federal Border Service in Tajikistan, on Tuesday, border guards of the Panj border unit noticed three trespassers of the state boundary who came from Afghanistan. The three men managed to disappear. The press service said that border guards found at the site of the incident a sack with 16 packages of heroin that the drug traders left behind. The exact weight of the heroin is being identified. The press service also mentioned that on Monday this week Russian border guards detained two border trespassers, who were trying to get to Afghanistan from Tajikistan. The incident happened at the same section of the Tajik-Afghan boundary. The investigation into the two trespassers has been started.
