Not A Single Case Of Anthrax Registered In Russia

Not a single case of anthrax has been registered in Russia this year, Russia's Chief Sanitary Inspector Gennady Onishchenko told journalists on Friday. He said in some cases physicians suspected anthrax but tests proved negative. According to Onishchenko, the anthrax spores which infected 16 people in the United States had been produced on U.S. territory. "Anthrax spores cannot be brought from another country," he said. "They must first be produced, sublimated and dried."
