Slovak President Arrived In Russia

Slovak President Rudolf Schuster arrived Sunday in Russia on an official visit. Schuster and Russian leaders are supposed to discuss bilateral relations in the spheres of economy, military and law-enforcers' cooperation, culture and education. The agenda for the first day of Schuster's stay in Moscow includes a meeting with Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexis II. Monday Schuster is expected to discuss with Russian leaders the new global situation following the September 11 tragic events in the US and the launch of the anti-terrorist operation in Afghanistan, along with extra measures to counter international terrorism. Schuster told a RIA Novosti correspondent before his flight to Moscow that he hoped his official visit could make a breakthrough in boosting the bilateral relations. Schuster noted that both Bratislava and Moscow had better opportunities than previously, to employ the cooperation potentiality. Schuster thinks that Slovakia needs to be more active in the Russian market, since "it will be much more difficult to enter it, owing to increasing competition."
